Come to the area's leading manufacturer of countertops for over 50 years. We have been selling to builders, cabinet shops, lumber yards, and the general public since 1960 when Formatop was founded. We take pride in being family owned and operated. Formatop is a third generation family business. Oliver joined the company as an owner in 1964 and retired in 2008. Mark started in 1974 and serves as President. Ryan came on board in 2001 and is the marketing manager, does Autocad drawings, and just about anything else that needs to be done.

At Formatop, we have the most experience building countertops. Our employees total over 300 years of experience building countertops. Our employees take pride in every countertop they build. They are all trained to build that countertop as if it were being installed in their own home. We have very little turnover of employees, which means your countertop will be built right the first time.

We also use quality materials in every countertop we make so that you the consumer will have a positive buying experience. Every laminate, cultured marble and solid surface top is built at our Sioux Falls manufacturing plant. This allows for consistent quality and lead times. In the event a rework is needed, we can have the new top built quickly.

We also have large samples that you can take home to make sure your selection works well with your color scheme. You can choose from laminate, cultured marble, solid surface, or quartz countertops for your kitchen, bath, or other rooms.

We have over a thousand patterns of laminate tops to choose from. Laminate tops are the most affordable option. Just because laminate is affordable, does not mean you have to sacrifice on looks. The new finishes and patterns give you the look of granite, petrified wood, marble, slate, limestone, and wood tones. Add the fact that there are over 12 edge profiles and you can get an elegant look at a fraction of the cost of other countertop materials. You also can choose to have an under mount sink installed in your laminate top. These sinks have models available in stainless steel and acrylic.

Cultured marble is a perfect product for bathroom applications. They provide a seamless top, backsplash and bowl. There are over 20 swirl and granite patterns to choose from, as well as nine bowl styles. We have been hand-pouring these tops for over 25 years.

Solid surface tops such as Corian are a renewable acrylic surface. Solid surface tops have a seamless appearance that is non-porous and are easy to clean.

We also furnish and install quartz countertops. Quartz tops are the most durable and heat resistant countertop we offer. It never needs to be sealed.
